Unlocking efficiencies and saving time with Google Gemini Enterprise

One leading logistics and delivery organisation faced growing inefficiencies as employees, particularly in data analytics and product development, spent excessive time locating project context, architectural documentation and decision threads.  

 

With the time sensitivity of such an industry, existing search tools could not keep pace with their rapid operations, creating bottlenecks and slowing delivery cycles, damaging the organisation’s customer service and reputation. The business needed a smart, scalable solution to unify access to distributed knowledge across Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Outlook and other platforms. 

 

We worked with the company to pilot Gemini Enterprise, tailoring it to their enterprise needs. The solution enabled employees to ask natural language questions and receive instant answers from structured and unstructured content. Integrated seamlessly with MS Teams, Jira, Confluence, Outlook, OneDrive and SharePoint, the pilot delivered a unified search experience across critical systems.

 

Over 50 test users from analytics and product teams validated the core use cases, confirming improved efficiency and search accuracy. The success of the pilot set the stage for a secure, assistant-powered experience at scale.

Technical approach 

The project began with discovery workshops to identify key personas and business-relevant use cases. A solution blueprint was then developed, leading to the sandbox deployment of Gemini Enterprise
. Key steps included: 

  • Connecting core data sources. 
  • Configuring secure access controls within the client’s Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. 
  • Running test scenarios to validate functionality. 
  • Delivering structured knowledge transfer to empower the client’s teams for future scaling.
