Engineering a scalable foundation for asset management

The existing architecture was highly complex, and the team faced tight deadlines to completely redesign and rebuild it. The primary goal was to create a robust foundation for future product development and scaling.

We established a multidisciplinary team that advised client on design decisions from technical architecture to user experience. We brought in experts with specific subject matter expertise in asset management, warehousing and logistics, energy and power management and combined it with our experts in in software design and UX/UI.
This close collaboration resulted in clickable prototype with fully functional back end within first two months of the project. We delivered a complete foundation for a range of custom applications that the client is now building upon.

Reinventing asset modelling for the cloud era
The market-leading platform relied extensively on Fortran code with deprecated language features, limiting efficiency and scalability. Its architecture encompassed numerous source files and varied input and output formats, causing frequent downtime and slow performance.
Endava developed a new model engine and SaaS cloud platform to replicate the existing workflow and key features while supporting updated file structures. To ensure stability and maintainability, the team implemented a new job system, comprehensive documentation, testing protocols and performance and security assessments.
