Challenge

Managing content for 13+ websites using multiple CMSs was inefficient, costly and inhibited collaboration across the organisation. Meanwhile, a lack of centralised styles and UI components resulted in inconsistent brand presence and poor UX.

Outcome

The solution was for the Endava team, alongside the client's team, to build a streamlined and easy to use headless CMS that provides flexibility and control of content to support strategic alignment and cohesive brand experience across multiple sites.

This client is a non-profit organisation on a mission to reduce heart disease and improve the quality of life for more than 4.5 million Australians who live with it.

The challenge at hand

Managing content for 13+ websites using multiple CMSs was inefficient, costly and inhibited collaboration across the organisation. Meanwhile, a lack of centralised styles and UI components resulted in inconsistent brand presence and poor UX.

Endava worked with the client to establish a headless CMS that served as a single source of truth to empower business verticals and support a cohesive brand experience.

Overarching business challenges included:

  • High operational effort and costs to maintain multiple websites
  • Poor governance and management of content
  • Inconsistent UX and brand presence throughout the sites
  • Reliance on developers for customised builds
  • Poor modeling drove low internal user adoption
  • Poor content discoverability, navigation, and search functionality.
