Endava was granted the “OUTSOURCING PROJECT OF THE YEAR” award
During the 2019 edition of the ANIS Gala, Endava was granted the “OUTSOURCING PROJECT OF THE YEAR” award for BT Pay, the first mobile wallet launched by a Romanian bank, based on the Visa Token Service and the MasterCard Digital Enablement Service.
Founded in 1998, ANIS is an important Romanian IT association, representing the interests of companies operating here and supporting the development of the industry. The ANIS Gala started in January 2015 as a celebration of the most important accomplishments of the association in the previous year.
Released to market in January 2018, BT Pay is an innovative mobile payments solution that enables Banca Transilvania’s clients to perform contactless payments, transfer money and keep their transactions record using only their smartphone.
Endava was part of every step of the idea to production process.
“Engagement in the BT Pay project evolved from a professional task to a personal ambition for every team member. It was a journey full of passion, dedication and accomplishments. Working side by side with the Endava team, relying on their professional expertise and guidance, proved to be the backbone of the success that this project had.”- Dorian Petrovici, Deputy Director, Head of Retail Projects & Data analysis, Banca Transilvania
“We are honored to receive the “OUTSOURCING PROJECT OF THE YEAR” award and really glad that together with our partners, Banca Transilvania, we managed to improve the customer experience of thousands of people engaging with a new banking service on a daily basis. Congratulations to the teams working on the project, the merit is all theirs!” – Simona Bucin, Project Manager Endava, BT Pay Mobile Wallet Project
Launching BT Pay was a big step for Banca Transilvania in terms of expanding their digital services offer while also having a positive impact on their positioning and brand reputation. The app also represents a new communication channel fit for engaging with their new, younger generations of customers.
Not only is BT Pay the first wallet to allow contactless payments launched by a Romanian bank, based on the Visa Token Service and the MasterCard Digital Enablement Service, but also the first digital wallet launched in South East Europe using Visa Token Service.
