Survey of top IT employers in Romania places Endava in top 2 for second year running

In this annual ranking, organised by prominent Romanian business magazine, BIZ, in partnership with a recruitment consultancy company, the top spot was taken this year by Adobe, while some other heavy-hitting names in the IT industry such as Oracle, Microsoft and IBM are also featured.

The BIZ ranking evaluated companies against four main criteria, in the order of importance: company culture (weighting 30%), salary package (25%), size and complexity of projects (25%), and hiring plans for the next 12 months (20%).  The scoring was done based on information collected from over 70 companies having over 100 employees in their offices in Romania, as well as from 600 questionnaires sent to randomly selected employees registered on the most important job search platforms in Romania.

John Cotterell, Chief Executive, Endava said: “This top position in the ranking demonstrates our continued commitment to be employer of choice in each of our Eastern European locations. We combine a strong culture with excellent career opportunities, development plans for leaders and experts, and a high level of team engagement. This is a strong differentiator in the markets in which we operate enabling us to recruit and retain the best people.”

Endava’s recent results speak volumes about the positioning of the company in its Eastern European locations. At group level Endava’s average headcount grew by 41% compared to last year; there were 200 people who participated in internship and graduate programmes during the year in the offices in Eastern Europe; and over 30% of new joiners in Endava were referrals from existing staff.

With an ambition to grow at least 30% per annum, Endava is embracing the significant challenge of developing its people to be leaders of the future and launched a range of initiatives including an informal learning approach, which has created a true learning culture where every person in the company is encouraged to share their knowledge with and to learn from those around them – regardless of their seniority or experience, and to accelerate this the company has set up a long-term apprenticeship approach.

In Romania, Endava had a headcount growth of over 80% over the past two years and it continues to be very active in recruiting in its delivery centres in Bucharest, Cluj and Iasi, where the company has in total more than 1,100 employees.
