Over the past 10 years, through our work in Romania and Moldova, we have built a strong relationship with Tony Hawks, the actor, comedian and author of ‘Playing the Moldovans at tennis’ and ‘Round Ireland with a fridge’ who has personally raised a huge amount of money for children’s charities in the region. In August 2000 Tony founded The Hippocrates Children’s Centre in Moldova. The centres mission is to  improve the health of children with chronic conditions who are living in socially vulnerable families.

All profits from the movie  will  go to the care centre for children with cerebral palsy in Chisinau, Moldova, which was in turn started with the royalties from the book. Donations can also be made to this very worthy cause.
