This conference session hosted by Chris, and inspiredly called 'Mirror, mirror on the wall... Why me?', targets software practitioners interested in improving their soft skills and becoming more effective as an individual and team player. Participants will get to experience a range of complementary self-management and thinking tools that will help them become a more effective self-organising individual and contributor.

Christina Cooper-Bland has over 20 years experience in IT and the last seven years have been spent as an Applications Architect and Design Authority in Data Warehousing, Strategy, Architecture Management and IT Consultancy. Chris likes to specialise in technically challenging environments, working with small, high quality teams. Her Key Achievements include: architected and co-ordinated all internal and external interfaces of an OTC booking system; championed the adoption of the Rational Unified Process (RUP); co-Author of NewBACS Technical White Paper, presented at Board level and externally; jointly developed the NewBACS Component Architecture; worked with senior management to develop BACS 5 year plan; Carried out CMM gap analysis with a lead assessor.
