Chisinau is Moldova's main industrial and commercial centre and is the most economically prosperous city in Moldova. The city provides the largest transportation hub in the country, and its international airport has connections to most major European capitals within 3 hours. Chisinau is also one of the greenest cities in Europe, and holds the Guinness world record for possessing the largest wine collection in the world.
The city has a broad range of educational facilities, with over 100,000 students. Most of the city’s population is fluent in at least Romanian and Russian, however English, French, Italian, German and Spanish are also widely spoken.
