What's this role about?

Join our dynamic and friendly team at Endava in Cluj-Napoca as a Senior IT Buyer! This role offers a hybrid work mode, combining the flexibility of remote work with in-office collaboration. We are seeking an experienced professional with 5 to 8 years of IT sourcing experience, preferably in software sourcing, to manage procurement activities, optimize vendor relationships, and drive cost savings for software products and services. Contribute to our mission of excellence in procurement and vendor management!     • Reviews requests for assigned materials, parts and/or services and verifies specifications with stakeholders as necessary. • Collaborate with stakeholders on price estimates for budgeting purposes. • Conduct searches for new suppliers of goods and services, evaluate their capabilities, assess risk and qualify as necessary. • Support performance of Vendor suppliers’ assessment & selection, establish the relationships & manage regular business review meetings with the suppliers based on strategic business impact. • Lead and execute RFx for non-IT products and services such as market research, bidding process, price negotiations. • Identifies cost savings opportunities and assists in achieving yearly cost reduction targets set by the Global Procurement Manager. • Conduct research on available vendors to determine which vendors offer the best pricing and product quality. • Evaluating current vendor management programs and identifying ways to improve them. • Setup and manage vendor governance meeting with the scope of identifying optimization solutions for the on-going / new projects. • Lead the negotiation of framework agreements/agreements with non-IT providers. • Develop long-term development strategies for product categories. • Guide and lead the non-IT categories’ management allocated (benchmark & non-IT spend assessment, optimization and saving opportunities). • Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services and follow through with vendors, re-sellers and other non-IT groups to obtain identified savings. • Manage software contracts and relationships with vendors and resellers to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offering. • Based on the reports received from the other teams, collect information for budgeting, compliance, contract summaries, and cost comparisons for budgeting, ad-hoc reporting or optimization purposes.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Economics / Mathematics / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or similar • 5-8 years’ sourcing experience preferably in software sourcing • Additional special training and certifications are a plus • Demonstrated experience in evaluating complex agreements • Negotiation skills – practical experience in supplier management • Strong experience in performing Strategic Sourcing roles from spend analysis to category strategy creation and category management / vendor management • Excellent understanding and experience of effective supplier governance i.e. enabling timely decision-making within an organization • Strong knowledge of the concept of contract management, laws related to contracts / agreements, and applicable legal obligations and arbitration process • Excellent organizational skills • Excellent time management qualities • Excellent use of business English (spoken and written)
