What's this role about?

Are you a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record in the telecommunications industry? We're seeking an exceptional Business Development Manager to drive profitable growth and transformation within our global Telco team. In this pivotal role, you'll focus on closing high-value deals with major players in the telecommunications sector. Your responsibilities will include: * Prospecting, cold calling, qualifying leads, and conducting compelling sales presentations * Identifying and acquiring new clients and projects in the telecoms IT services market * Managing end-to-end sales processes from acquisition to contract negotiation and closure * Leveraging and expanding your existing network within the industry * Coordinating cross-functional teams, including those based internationally * Utilizing marketing tools and strategies to secure new business opportunities * Representing the company at external events and industry conferences

What skills and experience do you need?

To succeed in this role, you'll need: * 8+ years of proven success in senior sales roles, consistently exceeding revenue targets * Extensive experience selling offshore or nearshore IT services to large telecom companies * A solid network and track record with key players like Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone Germany, 1&1, or LANCOM * In-depth knowledge of mobile network operators, mobile virtual network operators, Cloud, 5G, IoT, Embedded Software, Dev, and Test * Exceptional communication skills in both German and English * A self-motivated, results-driven, and commercially focused mindset * Strong problem-solving abilities and a systematic approach to work * Experience in preparing and presenting proposals, business cases, and statements of work
