What's this role about?

Endava is looking for a skilled IT Buyer to join our procurement team in Cluj-Napoca. This role offers a hybrid work mode within a dynamic and friendly team environment. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of sourcing experience in the IT sourcing domain, preferably hardware sourcing, strong negotiation skills, and expertise in strategic sourcing and vendor management. If you're organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about driving procurement excellence, we encourage you to explore this opportunity further.   Responsibilities: • Reviews requests for assigned materials, parts, and/or services and verifies specifications with stakeholders as necessary; • Identify potential suppliers that can meet the organization's needs for goods or services; • Conduct market research to assess supplier capabilities, pricing, quality, and reliability • Support performance of Vendor suppliers’ assessment & selection, establish the relationships & manage regular business review meetings with the suppliers based on strategic business impact; • Lead and execute RFx for IT products and services such as market research, bidding process, price negotiations; • Analyse costs associated with procurement activities and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements; • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and make recommendations for cost-reduction initiatives; • Sourcing new vendors for IT equipment for new geographies and M&As; • Evaluating current vendor management programs and identifying ways to improve them; • Setup and manage vendor governance meeting with the scope of identifying optimisation solutions for the on-going / new projects; • Lead the negotiation of framework agreements/agreements with IT providers; • Contributes to long-term development strategies for product categories; • Generate reports and dashboards to communicate key procurement insights and KPIs to management and stakeholders; • Use data-driven insights to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in the procurement function; • Guide & lead the IT categories’ management allocated (benchmark & IT spend assessment, optimisation and saving opportunities); • Track and report on procurement-related expenses and cost-saving achievements; • Collect and analyse data related to procurement performance, including spend analysis, supplier performance metrics, and savings tracking; • Manage contracts with suppliers, including reviewing terms and conditions, tracking contract expiration dates, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations; • Work closely with the legal department to negotiate contract terms and resolve disputes or issues as they arise; • Facilitate contract renewals, amendments, and terminations as necessary; • Performs SOX controls whenever required and ensures SOX controls related to the area of responsibility in procurement are designed, implemented, and performed in accordance with prescribed SOX requirements and in a timely manner, effectively and thoroughly documented. Perform internal control responsibilities in accordance with Endava’s SOX compliance programme; • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process; • Uphold ethical standards and integrity in all procurement activities, including fair and transparent supplier selection processes; • Implement measures to prevent fraud, corruption, or conflicts of interest in procurement transactions; • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with selected suppliers to achieve cost savings and favourable terms.

What skills and experience do you need?

• 5 years’ Sourcing experience in IT sourcing domain (preferably hardware sourcing); • Additional special training and certifications are plus; • Demonstrated experience in evaluating complex agreements; • Negotiation skills – practical experience of supplier management; • Strong experience in performing Strategic Sourcing roles from spend analysis to category strategy creation and category management / vendor management; • Excellent understanding and experience of effective supplier governance i.e. enabling timely decision-making within an organisation; • Strong knowledge of the concept of contract management, laws related to contracts / agreements and applicable legal obligations and arbitration process; • Excellent organizational skills; • Excellent time management qualities; • Excellent use of business English (spoken and written); • Experience using Oracle platform is a plus.
