Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning are already a reality of our lives. From automated client service robots to self-driving cars, the world we are living in is changed swiftly by the software engineers applying these two concepts.
Join us to discover how quantum computing will transform the business environment and trigger a technological revolution, the way machine learning can mature itself by learning from traditional software engineering architecture and how front-end developers will be able to automatically build web pages using machine learning.
Gear up for the future and connect with some of the best IT professionals out there!
UNTANGLING QUANTUM COMPUTING
Quantum Computing is usually associated with a tangled chaos of half-understood science, crazy theories, and misconceptions. However, the impact it will have on the world warrants much more attention than that. The dramatic change it will herald for business, and humanity as a whole will redefine our perception of the world around us and will trigger a technological revolution that will change our daily lives.
ABOUT JEREMY
A creative executive with 20 years of experience in product strategy, UX, and design. As VP, Digital Product Strategy at Endava, he is working with large clients to ensure they have the right digital strategy in place, then he tailors innovative solutions to respond the business challenges that stand in the way using the right synthesis of Endava’s end-to-end service offers. Previous to Endava, he was specialised in digital entertainment, releasing over 150 games across most major platforms, including collaborating with Microsoft on the #1 Free Game on the Windows Store.
MACHINE LEARNING - WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
In his presentation, Matt intends to explore the process, and pitfalls, that machine learning must go through as it matures and what we can learn from traditional software engineering.
ANOUT MATT
Matt is SVP of Delivery Acceleration at Endava. He is an experienced Agile practitioner, he is passionate about technical leadership within organisations and believes in personal and organisational continuous Improvement.
Before Endava he was with UBS since 2005, Matt held a number of strategic Director and Executive Director level IT roles including key delivery and architecture functions. Matt is passionate about technical leadership within organisations and believes in personal and organisational continuous Improvement.
TOWARDS AUTOMATED DEVELOPMENT OF WEB PAGES
About 60% of software developers work on front end web development, however this is often a tedious type of work. Large quantities of source code of web pages can be used for training machine learning systems, allowing them to learn about how typical web pages are structured. The presentation will showcase preliminary results of research performed at the Romanian Institute of Science and Technology, focused on automatically building web pages with machine learning systems.
ABOUT RĂZVAN
Răzvan Florian is leading one of the research groups of the Romanian Institute of Science and Technology, a non-governmental research institute that he founded as a more agile alternative to public research organisations. He is the author of several learning rules for spiking neural networks. The essential components of one of these rules, which has been developed trough mathematical derivations and computer simulations, have been later found by neuroscientists in the brain. Components of this learning rule were implemented in hardware in the Loihi neuromorphic chip developed by Intel, allowing it to learn from rewards and punishments. Răzvan has also founded two companies, Arxia (a web development company, which he has exited) and Epistemio (a failed startup). He is now working on deep-learning-based approaches to automated web development and curiosity-driven learning.
