Endava at LinuxFest 2008, Chisinau
29 Sep 2008
Endava was main sponsor of the annual meeting of the Linux community in Moldova, LinuxFest, held on Saturday September 20th, 2008 in Chisinau.
We also participated with presentations delivered by:
- Veaceslav Falico, Endava IT Server Engineer — “Nagios — monitoring solution”
- Stela Bordei, Endava IT Recruiter — “Job opportunities at Endava”
The format of the Linux Fest 2008 was different from previous editions: the presentations were entertaining, instead of being lecture-like.
LinuxFest agenda also included the Open Forum, a round table event for the Linux-community, where everybody can discus current issues related to Linux. At this year’s festival a very important issue has been raised: how to include Linux, Free Software and Open Source in the curriculum of Moldavian universities.
Along with the informative program Linux Fest 2008 had a lot of fun quizzes with IT- prizes offered by the sponsors.
About Linux Fest 2008
Linux Fest held by the Linux.MD project is a unique annual IT event in Moldova. For the last 4 years Linux.md were trying to make Linux Fest interesting for all those who in one way or another know what Open Source, Free Software, Gnu, GPL, Linux, BSD and UNIX mean. Experience shows that even those who did not know about the above still have good fun at the Festival. Linux Fest is an event that can bring under one roof leading IT companies and professionals in Moldova, students, top managers of major IT companies and the best freelancers, web- and system-developers.
