This client is the European arm of a larger global Group Card Processor. It is an association of 4,500 European banks and financial institutions, spanning 34 countries At the heart of the company’s payment system is a highly sophisticated, totally reliable and extremely secure worldwide IT network. It routinely processes more than five billion transactions a year, peaking at more than 1,000 transactions a second.

The Objective

Our client took over the development of a new processing system in 2004 from the international part of the business.
The new system would enable them to better manage their European business, react faster to their members’ requirements & reduce reliance on the company’s international arm.

The Solution

Endava managed the entire end-to-end testing strategy, together with the day-to-day management of the entire testing group. Endava also had expert testers placed with the core system testing team.

The project utilised both Endava’s UK-based Test Strategy & Management staff, and our CEE Test Engineers onshore in UK. The team peaked at 60 staff, made up of our own staff, in-house and other vendor staff - all managed by Endava.
The project was technically challenging due to the compiling of an overall testing strategy consisting of five testing phases and implementing a new testing solution for a system that was already mostly developed.

The Results

The project was successfully delivered on-time.  The effort spent on Test automation has now resulted in a small BAU team who are helping to reduce on-going operation costs.  Endava is still engaging in providing testing services to this client 5 years later.
