Endava has developed and refined a set of engagement models to deliver our services and provide long-term, consistent support for our customers throughout the IT lifecycle, enabling them to achieve their business goals.
Consultancy
Endava offers consultancy services, providing customers with highly-skilled and experienced people who can add significant value quickly. Our consultancy services are typically used to either kick-start a specific initiative or address a particular problem.
Endava’s consultancy services are focused on two areas:
· Industry-specific expertise, including payments (including SEPA), card processing, clearing and setttlement, trading systems and low-latency/high-volume systems;
· Development of IT projects, using Endava consultants with specialised skills in project management, enterprise and solution architecture, software selection, business analysis, engineering and development, and testing.
Our consultants use a collaborative approach during each engagement to ensure our customer’s staff gain a sense of ownership of the resulting deliverables, considerably reducing the risk of the project being ‘moth-balled’ or not used.
Fixed-price projects
Endava offers fixed-price project solutions for application development, where we assume the risk and responsibility to deliver on time and within budget, freeing our customers to focus on their real business priorities. This works best for customers who know exactly what they want and are looking for a competitive fixed price and agreed timescale for the complete development.
Based on our past experience, the successful delivery of fixed-price projects always requires a comprehensive requirements specification which has clear acceptance criteria and defines the system requirements to a level of detail and precision such that each individual requirement is test-able. This requirements document may be the result of an earlier consulting engagement with Endava (or other competent third-party) or the customer’s own analysis.
During fixed-price projects, we focus on making staged deliveries of working code throughout fixed-price projects in order to provide our customers with clear evidence of progress and visibility of the end solution, matched by rigorous and well-documented testing processes, and post-live warranty periods.
Extended teams
Endava’s extended teams provide customers with specialist expertise to enhance and supplement existing teams, resulting in a cost-effective approach to application development, testing and support. This is a long-term, strategic commitment which enables you to ‘flex’ resources – applying the most appropriate skills at the right time for the right cost – reducing project risk and budget over-runs.
The service is taillored to each customer’s needs and applied using a ‘blended sourcing model’, with onshore design and project management complemented by our Nearshore delivery capability in Eastern Europe. This helps our customers to achieve their business goals, speed up delivery timescales and reduce project risk.
Throughout the project or contract lifecycle, a project manager will be based on onshore to manage the extended team and act as the primary local interface, with regular visits to Eastern Europe or the UK as required. In addition, customers can further flex the resources beyond the core team and their contracted commitment.
Managed services
Based on flexible SLAs, Endava shares the risks and challenges of the ongoing development of our customers’ IT services, from annual application maintenance and monitoring to multi-year, fully-outsourced contracts.
Customers choose one or more managed service options, as agreed and defined in a service-level agreement (SLA), with the delivery model tailored to the customer’s individual needs. Our customers are typically interested in the transfer of risk to Endava, which may include the transfer of some staff and assets, fixing service charges for a defined period, and the ability to apply penalties in the event of service failures.
We deliver considerable business benefits through our service agreements. Endava brings scale to IT operations, offering 24/7 availability and a breadth of technical capability, enabling customers to flex and respond rapidly to business demands during the term of the agreement. Through our near-shore operations in Eastern Europe, our customers benefit from a lower cost of service delivery with a strong cultural fit and high level of communication skills.
