Endava University

Being an organisation that fosters an environment of learning and sharing, encouraging our staff to develop relevant skills and increase performance, Endava is now taking a more proactive approach so that the learning process is well-organised, focussed on developing management and technical competencies and aligned with the corporate business strategy.

In this context we are happy to announce the launch of the Endava University programme which has as a goal to give knowledge in a proficient way and as a mission to develop Endava professionals by delivering creative, well-designed, high impact training programs.

Endava University has now five main training streams:

Management Training Program
It is designed to train Endava highly capable managers so they can become influential leaders. The main strength of this program is its richness and diversity of highly recommended topics and materials all carefully chosen to best fit Endava’s needs. The content of this program is focused on developing management skills such as leadership, communication, mentoring, people management, conflict solving etc.
Target audience: Endava staff

Information Technology Training Program
The speed of IT technologies development in our days can hardly be reached by training and being IT company this is a challenge for Endava too. The IT training program is aimed at improving technical skills covering different IT subject areas in Architecture and Development, Testing and Managed Services. This program is designed according to training and development needs identified by Heads of Disciplines.
Target audience: Endava staff, students, graduates, other candidates

Trade and Commerce Training Program
This program is focused on topics that are to strength Endava’s business and develop sales solutions and management. Within Trade and Commerce Training Program will be provided courses to Sales and CFU (Client Face Unit) offering knowledge and know-how in negotiation, marketing, sales skills, client management etc.

Awareness Training Program
For a better company functionality and operation, Awareness Training Program will be developed. This program has as a target all Endava employees and will be focused on topics that are linked either to company policies and processes (e.g. Information Security, PAS, Purchasing etc.) or external requirements (e.g. legislation)

EnterTRaining Program

This is Endava University Special Offer. Maybe all of you are wondering what is this about? So, this program has as a goal to offer to Endava employees the possibility to be trained in different entertaining activities that require special skills such as skiing, tennis, scatting etc. Please keep an eye on upcoming Endava newsletters for more details.

Management Training Program is launched - July 2009

Management Training Program is launched - July 2009

The first program to be implemented within the Endava University framework - the Management Training track -  was launched on July 24 and is targeted to over 100 managers.

“We aim to create an environment that fosters learning and personal development.  As in the IT industry, the people and their skills can make the difference, we have initiated a Management Training track designed to help managers in Endava develop their leadership, communication and people management skills as well as improve their performance.  We want to create a training centre that will be recognised in the IT industry.”- said Diana Bocaneala, Training Manager and Coordinator of the Endava University program.


Endava University has a wider scope and apart from the Management Training track it also includes programs focused on building technical competencies. At the same time, Endava staff are encouraged to achieve relevant technical certifications, according to customers’ requirements and technology trends, so that many of them hold  certifications recognised worldwide awarded by  Microsoft, SUN, Cisco, Oracle, ISEB/ITSQB.

Internship Program at Endava in Moldova - December 2008 - March 2009

Endava launches an internship program for students in Moldova in which 10 IT students have the opportunity to work alongside IT  professionals with international experience.
Participants in this internship program will  benefit of:
● The possibility to work in a team of 500 IT specialists; 
● The opportunity to gain international experience working directly for Endava customers;
● Scholarship during internship period;
● The opportunity to receive a job offer from Endava after completing the internship.
If you:
● are an IT student in the final year of study 
● have the ambition to become a good IT specialist,
● are interested in an internship an international working environment,
●  know that your performance deserves to be rewarded,
Fill in the participation form, resolve the problem that you will receive and successfully pass the interview.

Endava offers internship for:
1. Software Engineers: .NET, Java, C++, Database;
2. Testing Engineers (QA);
3. IT Service Management Engineers.
Internship period – according to the university approved period.
At the end of the internship, all the practitioners will pass a performance test, and those who demonstrate the best results will receive a job offer from Endava.

Roadshow with Carnegie Mellon in Romania 20-22 October 2008

Endava in partnership with Carnegie Mellon University organised a series of information sessions in Romania (Cluj, Bucharest and Iasi) to which IT professionals and students in graduating years of study were invited to attend. The sessions included:

● Free lecture training on “Managing Customer Expectations in Software Development Projects” delivered by Gil Taran, Carnegie Mellon University;
● Presentation of Master of Software Engineering programs offered by Carnegie Mellon University in cooperation with University of Coimbra (16-month fully-funded program in Portugal and USA)

One Week University - March 2008, Cluj - Romania

One Week University - March 2008, Cluj-Romania

Endava is Partner of the One Week University event organized by AIESEC for students and recent graduates. This will be a series of trainings held in Cluj-Napoca at the Technical University between March 18th-21st with the support of leading companies operating in the region. In this event, Endava will be holding a session inspiredly called 'Get a taste of Managed Services!'.
Who can participate?
We invite master's degree students and recent graduates with excellent English communications skills to get involved in a session that will open up your horizons on how it is to be working in managed services projects.

Why should you participate?
You will have the chance to find more about us and interesting details on our managed services projects, from technical support projects to service desk teams. You will then experience an interactive workshop that will help you understand the work streams and the challenges of managed services projects and also engage you in a simulated project implementation process.

By attending the Endava session, you will get the opportunity to understand the specifics of managed services projects and see if it would be a good choice for you to work on this type of projects. We are open to give you more details and you will get all the information you need, so that you can decide to join us!

Who are the speakers?
The Endava session will be delivered by George Anghelache- Delivery Director and Andrei Pantelimon - ITSM Manager from our development and support centre in Cluj.

SOFTWARE TESTING Intensive Course - November 2007, Chisinau - Moldova

Software Testing Intensive Course - November 2007,  Chisinau - Moldova

A free of charge Software Testing Intensive Course based on the ISEB training program was organized by Endava in co-operation with the Technical University of Moldova.

This course in Software Testing covered following topics: Functionality, Performance, Usability, Scalability, Management, Defect tracking, Security. See more details: Software Testing Course - Outline.

The course was delivered by Alexandru Mursa, Testing Manager and ISEB certified specialist, and was attended by 20 IT professionals interested in software testing and graduates from IT Departments.

After the final evaluation, 14 participants who demonstrated solid knowledge as a result of participating in this course have been awarded diplomas and some of them who had strong skills for software testing were offered the opportunity to join the Endava testing team.

.NET Fundamentals Training Course - September 2007, Cluj -Romania

NET Fundamentals Training Course - September 2007, Cluj -Romania

In line with our commitment to employing the most talented people and providing support for career development, we selected 13 talented programmers to participate in our free of charge .NET Fundamentals training held between September 17th- 28th in Cluj-Napoca.

Igor Bercu, the R&D Projects Manager and Technology Trainer from Moldova, was involved to deliver the training.

At the end of the programme, all the participants had to pass an exam. 7 trainees have successfully completed this examination and which allowed them to get a junior developer position in one of the Endava projects and be part of our development team.
