We believe that there are significant benefits in implementing industry best practice. This philosophy has been key to our success and is fundamental to our future plans for business strategy and technical development.

Project and programme management
Our project management office, which implements best practice, is central to our ability to deliver successful IT programmes. All of our projects are managed using the Prince2 methodology for project management, meaning that we apply rigorous set-up processes and ongoing controls to ensure cost, quality and specification standards are met.

Software development
Endava selects the software development methodology for each project according to the specific customer requirements and engagement model. Endava’s in-house Software Development Methodology is tailored to project needs, particularly for structured or iterative development, alongside the Agile (SCRUM) methodology used for projects with rapidly changing requirements. All software engineering and development projects are based on best practice, including code reviews, unit tests, daily builds, source control as part of configuration management, system and performance test, and data migration.

Risk management
Our risk management framework covers risk identification, prioritisation and treatment. This framework is applied to both customer projects and as part of our own business continuity and IT infrastructure strategy.

Service management
Endava follows ITIL practices as a quality foundation for IT service management, with Endava’s IT Service Management System planned to be certified to the ISO/IEC 20000 standard during 2008.

Quality standards
Quality is inherent to all of Endava’s business and support processes, as demonstrated by our quality management system which is certified to the BS EN ISO 9001:2000 standard, and our information security management system which is certified to the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 standard.

Endava has achieved important technology certifications and partnerships, such as Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Sun Partner for Java solutions and BSi Registered Member. We aim to continuously improve the quality of our services, as evidenced by the numerous qualifications of our staff, including Prince2, MCP, MCAD, MCSE, MCSD, Cisco, Sun, Oracle and ISEB.
